Council benefit from major house clearance

The Social Work Department at Highland Council recently contacted Rainbow’s branch based in Alness asking them to clear and assist with the storage of furniture items at a cottage and outhouses on a croft. The homeowner suffers from mental health issues and had built up clutter over the years causing an infestation of rats and mice at the property.

When the technicians arrived at the property they were faced with several rooms of clutter including various contents and rubbish. Some of the rooms were nearly ceiling high with contents.

Whilst carrying out the clearance Rainbow’s technicians came across many rats and mice, following the clearance at the property, pest control were called in to deal with the infestation.

Rainbow had a total of 17 technicians at the property over 4 day period, each working approximately 8 hours per day, this equates to a totals of 136 hours on-site uplifting & disposing of over 80 yards of rubbish and contents.
